NOTE: Super interesting prototype out of 2001 Donruss. This was a never issued variation for the 2001 Donruss Rookie Reprints set, and was either made in error, or was more likely done as the company was experimenting just prior to the final set release. In 2001 Donruss brought back the \"canvas\" technology to a short printed premium version of a couple sets, referring to it as \"Studio Series\". However the 2001 Donruss Rookie Reprints notably did NOT have a Canvas/Studio Series variation. What we have available here are likely one of a kind prototypes where they tested the canvas (aka Studio Series) technology on the card front of some of the Rookie Reprint cards. This became a really fun find, as many of these players are hobby GOATs with a strong collector base. I only have these for about half of the Rookie Reprint set, sadly. But what is even more fun, is that for most of these there is a second card where a second rookie reprint card is printed with a normal front and a canvas printed back! All do not have the serial # printed on the back as they normally would. Very cool stuff and likely that each is one of a kind, and depicting the player\'s Donruss Rookie Card no less! A pretty special find and something you are not likely to see again.
I will be listing each as singles. All are fresh to the hobby and are generally going to be in the NM-MT range give or take. A little bit of edge wear is typical as the canvas is very delicate. But generally sharp corners and a nice surface. I will try to make a point of calling out any major issues. Thanks for looking. And offer like you may not see these again!
