America’s Most Talked-About Dollar Coin — Straight from the US Mint
Own a piece of numismatic history with this 25-Coin Roll of the 1776–2026 Semi quincentennial President Donald J. Trump $1 Coin, issued by the United States Mint in Brilliant Uncirculated condition. These coins have never been placed into circulation.
A Dollar Coin Unlike Any Other
Released on September 2, 2026, the Trump dollar is the first U.S. circulating-quality coin in modern history to bear the likeness of a living, sitting president. The obverse carries dual dates 1776 ∼ 2026 and a portrait of President Donald J. Trump engraved by U.S. Mint Chief Engraver Joseph Menna from an official White House photograph. The reverse, by former Chief Engraver Frank Gasparro, features the Presidential Seal with 250 inscribed in the shield to mark America’s 250th anniversary.
The legal debate surrounding this coin only adds to its historic significance. The Presidential $1 Coin Act of 2005 explicitly prohibits a living president’s image on U.S. coinage. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent invoked the Circulating Collectible Coin Redesign Act of 2020 (Public Law 116-330 — signed by Trump in his first term) to authorize the design, arguing no restriction applies to the obverse. The resulting controversy generated international headlines and collector demand that sold out the Mint’s entire allocation almost immediately after launch.
What Makes This Roll Special
All Trump dollars in this roll are Philadelphia-struck and carry no mint mark — unique among modern presidential and circulating dollar coins, which typically carry an incused edge mint mark. The coins also feature a plain edge rather than the inscribed edge found on other dollar series.
Sold Out at the US Mint
The Mint’s entire product allocation of 150,000 rolls sold out almost immediately following the September 2 launch. These rolls are no longer available directly from the U.S. Mint. What you see here represents original Mint stock secured through our numismatic $1
