thanks for considering>3 Pre-owned Local Estate Sale Numismatic Fantasy Coins: 2 Silver-Plated and 1 Gold-Plated...These 3 coins all have a few light marks from being pre-owned. The tones may be lighter, then darker on the same coin etc. The first XL silver-plated coin actually never existed in reality, and the coin depicted as the flowing hair goddess (a 1/200 of a dollar coin) but is not the standard size, as it is 1.75" in diameter, and not 1.5". The gold-plated coin (dated 2025) represents a larger coin of a previous time in history, about 170 years ago but again is smaller than the original. Later, from 1877 to 1907, the U.S. issued the “Liberty” $50 gold piece, also 90% gold, with a profile of Liberty on the obverse and an eagle on the reverse. The coins photographed in this lot are overall a bit darker in complexion than the previous lot.
This will be the last lot of these 3 specific coins, as I am out of the extra-large coin, and cannot get more.

In the 1800s, the largest U.S. gold coin was the $50 “Quintuple Eagle”, produced during the California Gold Rush. These were not standard circulating coins, but gold ingots or slugs minted by private companies under the U.S. Treasury’s direction, such as Moffat & Company, and later by the U.S. Assay Office under Augustus Humbert

Shape: Typicallyround (some early slugs were octagonal).
Diameter: The standard gold coin pattern for the $50 denomination — the Half Union — had a diameter of 50.80 mm (about 2.00 inches) .This was the same size as the $20 “Liberty Head” Double Eagle, scaled up for the $50 value.
