A striking group of three original early 20th-century Omar Turkish Blend cigarette advertisements from vintage magazines, including examples from McClure\'s and Cosmopolitan.
These beautifully illustrated advertisements feature the distinctive Omar advertising style of the 1910s, with colorful Art Nouveau and Orientalist-inspired imagery, elegant figures and decorative borders.
Omar Turkish Blend cigarettes were introduced by the American Tobacco Company in 1911. The advertising campaign was strongly associated with Omar Khayyám and the popularity of the Rubáiyát during the early 20th century.
One of the Cosmopolitan advertisements from this period is documented as appearing in the June 1914 issue and incorporates lines from the Rubáiyát of Omar Khayyám.
This lot contains three separate original vintage magazine advertisements, making it an excellent group for collectors of tobacco advertising, Art Nouveau illustration, early magazine advertising and vintage paper ephemera.
These are original period advertisements, not modern reproductions.
Condition: Good vintage condition with expected age toning, minor edge wear and handling/storage marks consistent with original magazine pages from the 1910s. Please see photographs for the exact condition of each piece.
