Estate collection of 33 antique and vintage porcelain/bisque half dolls, pincushion dolls and related pieces, being sold together as one lot.
This is the second of two large half-doll collection lots we are offering from the same estate.
The collection includes a wide variety of styles, sizes and poses, including ladies with elaborate period hairstyles, arms-away poses, bonnet and hat styles, bathing/flapper-era figures, partially nude figures, costumed ladies and smaller character examples.
Several of the larger figures are particularly attractive, with elaborate molded hairstyles and expressive hand and arm positions. Also included is an unusual pair of porcelain doll legs with gold-colored shoes, along with assorted smaller half dolls and related pieces.
Some pieces are marked or numbered while others appear unmarked. I have not attempted to attribute every figure to a particular manufacturer or country of origin. Please use the photographs to make your own assessment of age, origin and maker.
Measurements:
The largest half doll measures approximately 4”, the smallest is 1 1/2”.
The legs are 3 1/4”
If a specific measurement is important to you, please ask before offerding.
The condition varies from piece to piece.
Expect age-related wear, surface soiling, discoloration, paint/decorative wear and manufacturing imperfections. Some pieces retain fabric, hair or other attachments that show age and wear.
The last picture the dolls have significant chips.
Because of the size of the collection, each piece has not been individually condition-graded.
Please examine all photographs carefully as they are an important part of the description and provide the best representation of condition. Please bear in mind that the actual color of the item might be slightly different than shown in the photos due to variations in monitor and browser settings.
