Each handpainted plate has its own little personality, so I have photographed the faces individually.
Retired Pier 1 Imports plates, 8 inches in diameter, with the sun, or possibly a flower, giving you a nice serious look instead of a grin. Very refreshing and original. Every plate is in excellent condition without chips, cracks, or crazing.
The Pier 1 English-language backstamp ihas been consciously done in a Chinese style, with the lines of the letters overlapping to make crisscross designs. The plates weigh over a pound each.
