A truly spectacular museum-quality find for fine porcelain collectors. This monumental antique 1912 Rosenthal Germany lidded portrait urn stands at an impressive 16.75” and is a lovely example of early 20th-century Bavarian porcelain artistry.The front of the urn features a beautifully preserved portrait of an Edwardian lady rendered in a crisp, elegant factory transfer. Framing the central portrait are vibrant pink and purple cabbage roses that have been hand-painted over a soft cream and peach ombre ground. The base bears the authentic \"Rosenthal BAVARIA\" back stamp, dating the production of this mold to circa 1912.Very good antique condition overall with exceptional structural integrity. The main porcelain body, the portrait transfer, and the lid are free of chips, cracks, or structural repairs.Honest Antique Wear Note: True to its 110+ year history, there is visible, expected age-related rubbing and thinning to the gold trim on the high points of the chain handles and along the outer rim. There is also one small, superficial scratch on the peach background glaze (fully documented in close-up photos). No major structural flaws.
