J.P. Mcmeekin was born in Ireland in 1857 and immigrated to the United States in 1872 wherehe and his family settled in Idaho, where he started his Painting career.In 1910 he relocated to California, where he started painting Plein air landscapes.He was a very versatile artist, worked with watercolors, gouache's, oils, andeven Photography.
This Still life REALISM Oil Painting is a great exapmple of his skill, Total size with frame is31 x 27 inches. Frame is an early 20th Century WIDE Multi Layered GOLD Accented VICTORIANFRAME. Frame is in good antique condition with very minor chips, please see pictures
Painting is on CANVAS, and is 16 x 20 inches, as stated it is signed lower right anddated : J.P. Mcmeekin 1913, Painting is in good antique condition, there is three very small scratchesthat I took close photos, they are the last two photo frames of pictures.
