ANTIQUE GATE MARKED 9 3/4 IN RAISED #8 No 8 CAST IRON GRIDDLE INSET HEAT RING
This griddle is a rare find. Likely made in the late 1800s or early 1900s.
The surface is smooth with some micro pitting in a couple of spots.
The rare and unusual thing about griddle of this age is that it sits very flat for a gate marked piece. Any movement around the gate mark is less than a business card. Absolutely no spin.
The griddle has been stripped to bear metal and reconditioned/seasoned with grapeseed oil and beeswax so it’s ready to be used!
It measures 9 3/4 inches across and 14 1/4 inches overall including the handle.
