OLD ANTIQUE VINTAGE HAND-CARVED WOODEN CATHOLIC CHRIST THE KING STATUE WITH MANDORLAOld antique wooden hand-carved Catholic Saint statue of Christ the King (Salvator Mundi).
These wooden figurines were often made in Europe from premium fruit, nut, linden, or oak wood.
The statue features an openwork golden metal sunburst mandorla aura attached to the back.
Christ is depicted in a traditional blessing and holding pose, mounted on a turned wooden base with a dark finish.
The clean underside of the pedestal reveals a traditional central mounting hole without stickers.
This antique handmade item shows genuine signs of use and age, giving it a rich historic patina.POINTS OF INTEREST:
Please notice that the figurine shows some old age-related damage to the hands: one small finger is missing on one hand, and the other hand is crafted to hold an attribute (such as a globus cruciger or scepter) which is no longer present.
