All That Hell Allows, Part II by Brian Palmer. First Edition, April 1993.
An exceptionally obscure self-published Vermont memoir in which Palmer recounts four years in a mental institution and his subsequent struggle to return to ordinary life. Contemporary reporting from 1993 identifies Palmer as a resident of Johnson, Vermont.
This is a notable author-associated copy. Brian Palmer’s name, Johnson, Vermont mailing address, and telephone number are handwritten on the inside rear cover. The book came from the same Vermont estate as multiple books concerning the Vermont State Hospital system, including a signed copy of Empty Beds: History of the Vermont State Hospitals. The circumstances strongly suggest a direct association with Palmer, although the precise circumstances under which he wrote his contact information in this copy are unknown.

Condition: Very Good. Covers show light age-related spotting/soiling, edge and corner wear, and some creasing/curling, particularly at the corners. Interior pages are generally clean and bright and the binding remains sound. Author contact information is handwritten on the inside rear cover as described above. Please review all photographs for exact condition.
A scarce piece of Vermont institutional and mental-health history with an unusual and compelling author association.
