This small devotional volume appears to have been owned by M. Carmela B., whose name is beautifully gilt-stamped on the front cover. An inscription inside is dated Malta, 1851, providing a wonderful glimpse into the book\'s history and suggesting use within the strong Catholic traditions of Malta during the mid-19th century.
