Authentic antique friendship / autograph album dating from the early 1900s.The album is marked “Made in Germany” and contains handwritten messages, poems, signatures and dates from approximately 1906–1909. Several entries are from Shobonier, Illinois and are addressed to Ethel.The inside front page includes a handwritten “Xmas 1906” inscription, placing the album at approximately 120 years old.Features an ornate period cover with gold, black and floral decoration and a color illustration of a child.All pages are filled with handwritten entries, making this a particularly complete and interesting example of an early 20th-century friendship album.A charming piece of early 20th-century social and family history.
