A particularly interesting piece of American Methodist history, this copy contains a handwritten membership record showing it belonged to Moses M. Knisley, who was received into full membership in the Methodist Episcopal Church at Davenport, Iowa, Upper Iowa Conference, on January 7, 1914. This personal provenance gives the book wonderful historical character.
The handbook covers Methodist religious history, doctrine, church polity and rules, church usages, membership duties, personal resolutions, and other guidance for new church members.
