This antique Edwardian gentleman\'s mustache cup features a beautifully intact, scalloped internal porcelain guard designed to keep a waxed mustache dry while sipping hot tea or coffee. The underside features the authentic underglaze \"Three Crown China Germany\" backstamp, produced by the Unger & Schilde factory for American importer Jon H. Roth tightly between 1909 and 1916. The cup boasts a rich teal/turquoise base color, heavy gold filigree accents, and beautifully detailed, hand-painted round medallions depicting maritime sailboat scenes.
