Antique 1913 John Winsch Christmas postcard featuring an embossed Christmas scroll surrounded by green mistletoe.
The design incorporates attractive gold-tone metallic accents with red, green and black lettering.
The front is marked:
“DESIGN COPYRIGHTED, JOHN WINSCH, 1913.”
Reverse is marked “Printed in Germany.”
The handwritten inscription is dated Christmastide 1913 and addressed to Mrs. Ida M. Howard, Middlebury, Addison Co., Vermont. The card does not appear to have been mailed and has no postage stamp or postmark.
Approximately 5 1/2 x 3 1/2 inches.
Condition: Very good antique condition for its age. Light overall toning and minor edge/corner wear are present. Embossed design and metallic accents remain attractive. Handwriting on reverse. Please examine all photographs carefully as they form part of the condition description.
