Antique 19th C French Empire Mahogany Secretary Desk Secretaire Brass project For Sale

We bought this along time ago as a piece that we wanted to work on and semi restore , the core structure is solid, drawers work etc , this is a period desk circa 1830 , there is a note inside that the desk was 1838 perhaps its signed somewhere and we missed it , all hand dovetailedand chamfered as it should be , fine bronze mounts etc , the original key is there , but the lock whichis a heavy double lock for the lid works when it wants to , probably needs cleaned up , the desk has scattered veneer loss, all cosmetic , just needs a good polish and clean up , certainly worth while fixing , stands 56 inches tall 38 wide and 18.5 deep , this is the kinda piece you can certainly use the way it is as well , these can be found on websites in the thousands so this is a certain bargain for the age !FURNITURE & LARGE ITEMS WITH LOCAL PICKUP POLICY
