Pair of 2 Canton Famille verte jardinieres each enamelled with two large quarter foil medallions, one containing flowers and the other a bird on a branch with two further medallions on each side. One fan shaped and the other circular, all against a mint green tendril filled ground. Chinese second half of nineteenth century. 14.5" diameter x 12” height. Dating back to the late 19th century, these jardinieres are a beautiful example of traditional Chinese craftsmanship and design, adding a touch of Asian antique charm to any collection or decor.
Appraised at $3,500 in 1985.
