An authentic antique early 20th-century Asian cast iron incense burner (censer) skillfully crafted in the shape of a stylized fruit with detailed overhanging leaves and a stem-loop handle. Dating back to around the 1920s or 1930s, this piece showcases a heavy, rustic cast iron body standing on three integral feet. The lid features openwork cutouts designed for incense smoke to eleganty escape. It features a fantastic, deep darkened patina with genuine signs of age, light oxidation, and a rough interior casting. A wonderful addition to any collection of early Asian metalware or rustic decor.
