For yourconsideration is a nice antique bathroom / bedroom mortise lock set manufactured in the early 1900\'s by Russell & Erwin (Russwin) in New Britain Conn. many years ago. The lock is # 233 as shown in the 1926 Russwin trade catalog. The set comes with knobs, roses, thumb turn and strike plate. The face plate, latch, bolt, roses and thumb turn are made of brass. The lock body is cast iron. The one rose, knob and thumb turn are nickel plated. The lock is in excellent functional condition - it has been refurbished - disassembled, all parts cleaned, lock body painted and properly reassembled. The lock is reversible - it will work with a right hand or left hand swing door. The dimensions of the lock face are: 5-1/2\" x 7/8\", Distance from the lock face to center-of-knob hub is: 2-1/2\", Distance between center-of-hub to center-of-thumb turn: 2-3/16\".
