Antique Boston & Sandwich Glass Dolphin Candlesticks Pair Hex Base 9.25\" c.1850s For Sale

Beautiful matched pair of antique pressed glass dolphin candlesticks featuring the classic figural dolphin design, tall decorative candle cups, and unusual hexagonal bases.
These candlesticks measure approximately 9.25 inches tall with bases measuring approximately 4.25 inches across. The clear/colorless pressed glass features detailed scales, fins, facial features, and molded decoration throughout.
The form is consistent with mid-19th-century American dolphin candlesticks associated with the Boston & Sandwich Glass Company, although these are being offered as attributed to Boston & Sandwich rather than definitively maker-marked. The unusual hexagonal base distinguishes them from the more commonly encountered square-base dolphin candlesticks.
Construction shows visible mold seams consistent with early pressed-glass manufacture. The undersides also display molded circular/concentric detail. No modern SGM reproduction markings are visible.
