✨ ANTIQUE BRONZE PARROT / MACAW BOWL — SINGLE-CAST FIGURAL ANIMALIER DISH ✨A handsome antique bronze bowl / catchall, surmounted by a finely modelled parrot (macaw) perched on the rim, wings outstretched and long tail cascading down the side. A piece of genuine casting quality — cast in one single piece.▸ Material : Solid bronze, warm aged golden patina
▸ Construction : The entire piece (bowl + bird) is CAST AS A SINGLE UNIT — a true foundry piece, not an applied/soldered mount. Substantial weight.
▸ Decoration : Fully modelled parrot / macaw, feather-by-feather chasing, outstretched wings, long trailing tail; hemispherical bowl with concentric reeded lines
▸ Style : Art Nouveau / Animalier / Figural
▸ Period : Late 19th – 20th century
▸ Dimensions : 17 × 13.2 × 8 cm high (approx. 6.7 × 5.2 × 3.1 in)
▸ Condition : Good antique condition, aged patina, light oxidation consistent with age
▸ Unsigned🦜 The casting quality is remarkable: every feather is individually chased, the outstretched wings create a real sense of movement, and the tail sweeps elegantly along the bowl. The fact that the whole piece is cast in one — rather than assembled — is the mark of genuine bronze foundry work.🏡 Perfect as:
• An entryway catchall (keys, coins, mail)
• A jewelry / trinket dish
• A decorative bowl
• A statement accent for a console, desk, shelf or cabinet of curiosities🌴 Ideal for tropical, jungalow, Art Nouveau, brocante or maximalist interiors — and for collectors of animalier bronzes. The bronze can be kept as-is or polished.📦 SHIPPING : Carefully packed with heavy-duty protective packaging. Tracked international shipping. Ships from France. Combined shipping offered.❓ Questions?
