A highly decorative antique Chinese cloisonné enamel pedestal dish / tazza, dating approximately to the late 19th or early 20th century.The shallow circular dish is decorated to the centre with colourful cloisonné enamel work in red, green, blue, white and yellow, incorporating scrolling floral decoration and traditional wan / Buddhist auspicious motifs.The dish is supported by an unusual gilt metal winged mythical beast / dragon-form figure, standing upon a matching circular cloisonné enamel base. The raised metalwork and richly coloured enamelling give the piece a particularly striking appearance.The base is supported on small feet and the underside displays the expected construction and natural surface wear associated with age.Approximate measurements:

Good antique condition overall with age-related wear, rubbing and patination to the gilded surfaces. There are areas of verdigris/oxidation, particularly around the underside and edges, together with minor surface marks consistent with age and use.
