A rare vasiform antique Chinese porcelain helmet shaped ewer with an Imari pattern from the Kangxi period, late 17th century. The ewer is based on continental Baroque era design. It is in good condition and structurally sound. It has old repairs to lip of spout section, repaired handle, plinth with old staple repairs from the 18th/19th century, small piece missing from plinth, small scattered losses, small touch ups in scattered areas, normal wear from use to surface.
