The same remarkable circa 1840 ornate handcrafted coin silver fiddle back serving spoon by J. Lord, New York is in in remarkable almost virtually unused condition with an incredible detailed design at the top of the fiddle back. This coin silver serving spoon is 9 inches in length and weighs 2 Troy ounces. The hallmarks are pseudo European to add value to the price Lord charged as Americans thought erroneously that European silver was better than what our silversmiths could make. This piece alone proves those naysayers were wrong as this piece is worthy of a museum. The same piece you see pictured and described above will be the same one you will receive.
