This gorgeous rare doll is 23” tall marked 1912.4 Made in Germany over the 'star' mark used by Cuno & Otto Dressel. The 1912 mold number is identified as made by Simon & Halbig,"S & H Jutta" dolly face for Cuno & Otto Dressel 1912. (Info from Geman Doll Marks by Cieslik). She is a not commonly seen doll on the market, true gem for collectors and enthusiasts alike.
This is a doll of an incredible quality, soft facial modeling, delicate expressive features, and fine bisque quality.
The bisque head is in great condition. Her brown glass eyes open and close. She has feather detailed brush stroked eyebrows and open mouth with 4 teeth, delicate rose blushed cheeks with a small dimple on her chin. Her body seems to be repainted and one of her feet possibly has been restored, she has all her fingers, she is well strung, and in general she is in good condition considering she has been through the over 100 years journey.
She is wearing beautiful original light peach silk dress that has started to badly disintegrate. I will leave the dress for her new owner to fix or to preserve. She is also wearing her chamise, drawers and socks. NO shoes.
She is sold as is no returns or refunds. Please click on each photo to zoom in and view details carefully for condition and additional description as my photos serve as part of the description. Be sure to ask any questions that you may have, or request additional photos.
Your doll will be packaged with great care and professionally, as i want to send her safely to your place.
