A substantial 4.9 lb copper kettle with a distinctive fixed handle: two curved supports joined by a thick, hollow, rounded grip. It has a long gooseneck spout, a fitted domed lid with acorn finial, and a visible zigzag dovetailed seam down the back. The bottom is flat.
The form closely resembles English kettles of the period, though the maker is unidentified. Small marks on the inside lower edges of the handle appear to read “01” or “10.”

Condition
Rich, dark aged patina with scattered surface wear and green oxidation, particularly near joins. Just a couple of very minor, little, dents (see close up pics that hightlight these).
