Seller: Alley-Antiques DESCRIPTION: Antique Rosewood Tea Caddy Box. Old late Georgian to early Victorian antique rosewood veneer tea caddy. This Regency/Victorian piece dates to the 1820 to 1850s. Unmarked. English. Rectangular form with fitted interior. Fabulous figuring on the rosewood. Has a brass recessed handle on the top. Original lock. Lacking small round brass escutcheon plate. NO KEY. The fitted interior has two removable hinged lid tea caddies with some silver foil interior remnants left. The center has its original velvet. This is lacking its cut glass mixing bowl. Antique. Over 150 years old. Beautiful figured Rosewood veneer. Antique. Original finish with a beautiful patina. Some minor rosewood veneer loss on upper edge as pictured. Lacking round brass escutcheon around lock. No key. Interior silver foil losses. Lacking glass mixing bowl. Has a small round stain on wood lid (pictured). Minor typical age related flaws scuffs, dings, etc... Has a fabulous look. Overall measures about 12\" long by 6\" wide and 6\" tall overall at extremes. Payment needs to arrive within 4 days after the sale, or we reserve the right to sell to the second highest buyer or relist the item, unless prior arrangement has been made. We usually ship 3 to 7 days after payment clears. We charge a $2.50 handling fee. All items sold as-is where-is. We are only responsible for the item while in our possession. We will not be held responsible for items lost or damaged during shipping. We will pack all items VERY WELL with bubble wrap and peanuts(furniture will be packed by the shipper). That is why ALL of the items purchased require insurance. In the unlikely event an item is damaged or lost by the mail/shipper we will work with you to help you file your claim, but the settlement will be between you and the carrier.
