DESCRIPTION:Here is an antique 1920\'s Flapper era micro-beaded handbag with ornate brass hinged frame/closure and chain strap. It has a nice working push-button closure that still works perfectly! The design of the multi-colored micro-beads that we are not sure if they are glass, metal or a combination, also has an arts & crafts era design. The beaded fringe was nicely twisted as it was attached as well. Very nice quality! There is an old Made in France fabric label still attached inside the bag.View all the photos.
*NOTE: We are not sure if themicro-beads are made from metal, glass or a combination of both. A magnet stick to the mesh bag, but not the fringe. When using a magnifying loop in looks like metal beads that have been painted, showing some paint wear.

MEASUREMENTS:Total length including the brass chain strap is approx. 16\". Length of just the bag & fringe is approx. 8 1/2\". Length of the bag not including the fringe is approx. 6 1/2\". Total width including the brass frame is 5 1/2\". Width of the beaded bag itself is approx. 6\". Weighs approx. 12 ounces.

BEFORE offerding or buying*
CONDITION:Antique preowned used item. This bag is not in perfect condition and shows its age, but good condition for its age overall! There is a lower area on each side of the bag that shows some stitching pulls, probably from the weight of items once carried in the bag. There is also what looks like a line running down on one side (see close-up photo), we are not sure what did is. It looks like a drip & with a magnifying loop it has caused a bit of surface rust on the metal beads. We have not attempted to clean or polish the brass frame, it has a nice old patina. The stitching inside the brass frame holding the bag onto the frame is still mostly attached!
