Here we have a rare and fun piece of Antique Folk Art, a fun toy to give to ones lover, to remind her of the good times. Circa 1900. It is in excellent antique condition and measures 3\" long x 1 1/4\" wide x 1\" high. The little figure lays quietly inside his Box, until she opens the sliding lid; and then pow, ...we\'re all excited! The figure, carved out of wood, is in natural wood tone, with various accent detailing in black graphite pencil. Lots of graphite darkening of the entire box. Originally the figure being glued down to the bottom of the box, having a small rubber band used to help animate the figure once the lid is opened. A fresh rubber band could be reinstalled, and the figure re-glued, but that would be a project for the new owner. (I wonder if the match stick component might not be original?) Nevertheless, a wonderful fun gift for ones dearest friend.
A small packing fee is built into the shipping.
