Extremely hard to find a waist communion bag, first one I have found in 5 years! Capture the elegance of French history with this rare find. This antique French hand-made waist silk ribbon communion bag features an exquisite ivory silk body adorned with a beautiful, custom monogrammed detail - this is a three letter monogramme which I can\'t quite make out. These keepsake pouches (often called aumônières or pochettes de communion) were designed to carry a small missal, rosary, or prayer card, and were typically secured around the waist or wrist using long silk ribbons. In excellent antique condition, silk in great condition

Waist measurement:
Too small for my mannequin (hence the pins) - 24.1/2\" fastened by hooks and eyes - one of the \"eyes\" is missin, an easy replacement . Could be made smaller by around 1.1/2\" with tiny hand made loops.
