Antique German Bisque Doll Ernst Heubach Horseshoe 22\" tall Celluloid Arms/hands. AS IS READ.Authentic German bisque shoulder-head antique doll manufactured by Ernst Heubach of Köppelsdorf, Germany. Kid Body, Intact Celluloid Arms, Original Undergarments & Stunning Edwardian Gown, standing at 22 inches tall and dating to the early Edwardian era (circa 1900–1912), this doll offers the perfect blend of historical authenticity for the serious collector. She is STUNNING in her mourning style gown! The distinctive horseshoe mark (referred to in Germany as a Hufeisen) is the signature trademark of the Ernst Heubach porcelain factory located in Köppelsdorf, Germany.Head & Face: Gorgeous bisque porcelain head with an open mouth, inset teeth and felt tongue, beautifully painted facial details, deep brown fixed glass eyes, and a rich, dark brown curly wig.Shoulder plate: Crack across right side of the shoulder plate. Appears to possibly have been historically repaired, as it is not loose.Torso/Upper Limbs: Sturdy, clean, firmly stuffed cream-colored kid leather body featuring intact gusseted rivet joints at the elbows and hips. No rips or severe cracks.Forearms/Hands: Desirable early celluloid lower arms and hands, standard for high-end German factory assemblies of this specific timeframe. All fingers and hands are fully intact with absolutely no chips or missing tips, which is exceptionally rare for celluloid parts of this age.Lower Legs: Authentic original structural transition consisting of heavy textured cream linen/muslin fabric from the knees down to the stitched feet.The Costume: She comes beautifully outfitted for display in an elegant, multi-tiered Edwardian-style black mourning gown featuring matching delicate black lace cuffs, a wide cream lace portrait collar, and an elaborate matching black lace bonnet.The Foundation: Highly desirable original antique factory cotton undergarments (chemise/shift) are retained underneath the gown. The inner fabric shows authentic age-appropriate yellowing and soft wear.
