When I think of character German dolls, such a treasure as this comes to mind. An outstanding example of the character children made in the early 20th century by the illustrious Gebruder Heubach firm. This beautiful little girl with her sweet inquisitive expressionand closed mouth will absolutely delight you. What a sweet delight she is!
She has a bisque socket head with blue glass sleep eyes, with painted upper and lower lashes, straight tapered brown brows, and a closed pouty mouth. She stands at 12” on her original fully jointed wood and composition body, and wears a blonde mohair wig styled in long curls with two small braided buns on the top of her head.
She is dressed in an antique blue silk dress, with a placket with two blue buttons down the front trimmed with white lace, a three-tiered skirt, and a dark grey-blue ribbon trim at the hem with a white floral pattern. Underneath, she wears an antique white cotton full slip and a pair of pantaloons with eyelet lace trim. On her feet are a pair of white knit socks and black patent shoes with maroon laces and silver tone buckles on the toes.

CONDITION: Excellent! Her fine quality bisque head is free of cracks, chips, hairlines, or restoration; the eyes sleep well. The original body is in good and sturdy condition and retains much of its original shiny finish, with minor and expected age wear and some touchups. The costume is frail and has some damage and areas of repair, but presents well. This uncommon mold has an adorable pouty expression. A sweet GH pouty character with so much appeal.
