Beautiful antique German handmade latticinio swirl marble measuring approximately 1.17 inches in diameter.
This colorful example features an intricate yellow latticinio core surrounded by twisting ribbons of orange-red, cobalt blue, white, and translucent green. The delicate yellow threads create an elaborate lattice pattern that is especially attractive when viewed through the transparent glass.
Both original pontils are visible.
Condition: This marble has flakes, dings, scattered flea bites, and surface wear consistent with age and use. There is also a visible manufacturing seam or glass fold. Close examination suggests the marble retains its original, unpolished surface.
Despite its imperfections, this remains a very attractive display marble. The colorful ribbons and delicate yellow latticework present beautifully, with plenty of visual depth and character.
