This versatile piece was originally made as the pedestal stand for a matching Imperial punch or fruit bowl. When displayed upright by itself, it also works beautifully as a compote, candy dish, or decorative pedestal bowl.The intricate pressed-glass design features alternating sunburst and pinwheel medallions, geometric diamond panels, detailed fans, and a deeply scalloped rim. Its marigold finish produces gorgeous flashes of pink, blue, green, gold, and orange that change with the light and viewing angle.The Fashion pattern was documented by the early 1900s, with examples appearing in period advertising by 1908.
