Pair of antique J&C Louise Bavaria porcelain plates, dating to the early 1900s. Each features a different hand-painted floral design in soft purple, pink and green with wide hand-gilded gold rims and gently scalloped edges.
Both are marked J&C "Louise" Bavaria on the underside. This Jaeger & Co. backstamp dates to approximately 1898–1923.
One plate also bears a handwritten inscription that appears to read "St. Walburg Acad., Cov. Ky., Mar. 9-12," possibly referencing St. Walburg Academy in Covington, Kentucky and March 1912.
Each measures approximately 7.75" in diameter. Combined weight is 1 lb 2.3 oz.
Good antique condition with age-related wear, including light surface marks and some wear/variation to the gilding and painted decoration. No chips or cracks observed. Please review photos closely for condition.
