Beautiful antique J. & G. Meakin “Genoa” round covered butter dish, made in Hanley, England.This is one of the harder-to-find serving pieces in the Genoa pattern and consists of the scalloped underplate and matching domed cover with an ornate double-scroll handle. The Genoa pattern features elaborate green transferware floral and scroll decoration accented with hand-applied gold.The underside bears the GENOA / J. & G.
