Antique Japanese ukiyo-e style color woodblock print depicting two women in traditional dress.The lower-right portion bears the Japanese signature/inscription 豊国画 (“Toyokuni ga,” or “drawn by Toyokuni”). Multiple artists of the Utagawa school used the Toyokuni name, and this print has not been professionally authenticated or attributed to a specific Toyokuni artist. It is being sold as found and as shown.Print measures approximately 10” x 5 3/4”.Appears to be printed on thin aged paper. Previously framed; frame is not included unless otherwise stated.Condition: Significant antique/vintage wear. Paper is toned and discolored with staining/foxing, fading and areas of surface/color loss. Upper-right corner has a substantial piece missing and there is additional damage/loss along the upper edge. Other edge wear and age-related imperfections are present. The sheet may have been trimmed at some point, but this has not been confirmed.
