A substantial and highly decorative antique wooden storage chest of impressive proportions, with a wonderful aged appearance and character throughout.
The large rectangular chest features a beautifully decorated front panel with flowing carved and incised foliate scrollwork, framed by substantial moulded borders.
The simple panelled sides contrast beautifully with the decorative front, while the large hinged wooden lid displays extensive natural grain, patina and generations of surface wear.
The lid opens to reveal an exceptionally spacious wooden interior with a central dividing section, making this an extremely practical piece of antique storage furniture.
Raised on low rounded feet.
