Beautiful antique Nippon hand-painted porcelain ashtray featuring a colorful phoenix/bird and flowering branch motif surrounded by vibrant yellow and blue decoration.
Three cigarette rests with black outlining and gilt/copper-toned accents give the piece a striking early Japanese export design.
A matching example has been attributed to Morimura Bros. and the Nippon period, circa 1891–1921.
This example presents beautifully and appears to be in very good antique condition. Minmal paint loss to some areas/edges. Please review all photographs closely for condition.
