Offered here is a rare and substantial antique steamer trunk bearing the original shipping stencil for the RMS Lusitania, one of the most historically significant ocean liners of the early 20th century.
This trunk was purchased at an estate sale in Skokie, Illinois in 2017 and has been kept indoors in a bedroom environment since acquisition.
The original stenciled marking “LUSITANIA” remains visible on the exterior, along with period hardware, leather handles, and metal reinforcements typical of early 1900s ocean liner luggage.
