Antique Rare Kenton Hills Porcelain Green Owl bookends, 2 pair:
$750.00
Here we have 2 pairs of rare antique Kenton Hills Porcelain bookends formed into the shape of a mother and baby owl. Kenton Hills Porcelains were started by a former superintendent of the infamous Rookwood Pottery in 1939. They only produced until 1943, when the U.S. Army overtook the facility to manufacture munitions for the war effort in Europe and the South Pacific. The entire facility was contaminated by the Army's use and thus the company was shut down. During thier short lifespan, they produced between 10,000 and 15,000 pieces. It is unlikely that you will find these particular pieces again. Pieces are in excellent shape, with no chips or cracks. See photos for a more detailed look at the items.
