This is a rare set of six antique Royal Albert Crown China demitasse cups and saucers, made in England during the 1920s, before Royal Albert discontinued the Crown China backstamp and transitioned to Bone China. Sets from this era are increasingly hard to find, especially in matched groups.
Although not all pieces were consistently marked with pattern names during this period, this design is associated with the early Royal Albert “Derby” pattern. Pattern‑name inconsistency was common in the Crown China era, as Royal Albert used multiple identifiers across production batches. When this design was reproduced in the 1980s–2000s, the updated pattern name was “Heirloom.”
The cups measure 2.25\" tall and are 2\" in diameter and the saucers are 4.5\" in diameter. All six sets display beautifully with minimal wear and are free of chips, nicks, or cracks.
This is a wonderful set for collectors of Royal Albert Crown China, Imari patterns, or early 20th‑century English porcelain. I do have additional pieces available, so be sure to check out my shop, not2shabbyshop, for those and more fabulous finds.
