For your consideration is this gorgeous antique silver-plated trinket / dresser box manufactured by the Barbour Silver Company (Hartford, CT) between the late 1890s and early 1900s. This highly decorative round box features an exceptional embossed maritime scene on the lid depicting a sailing ship at sea. The central image is beautifully framed by a thick, high-relief border of floral and scrollwork repoussé. The interior features its stunning, original gold wash (gilt) finish.The bottom is fully stamped with Barbour’s iconic "Old Dutch" hallmark featuring a windmill flanked by two smoking pipes, alongside the pattern number 3615.
