The head is marked SPECIAL, HAND FORGED IN SCOTLAND, and T. STEWART / MAKER / ST. ANDREWS, with the distinctive pipe cleek mark.

The club is in unrestored antique condition with considerable age-related oxidation and brown patina on the head, but the maker markings remain clearly visible. The hickory shaft shows normal age-related wear. The tan suede-style grip appears to be an older replacement rather than the original grip.
