Circa 1890–1920A wonderful and increasingly difficult-to-find set of three antique wooden stacking egg racks, each designed to hold one dozen eggs.These primitive treen racks stack securely to create a handsome three-tier storage system capable of holding 36 eggs while occupying very little counter or pantry space.Although often referred to simply as “egg racks,” they were likely used in farmhouse pantries, country house kitchens, dairies, or estate kitchens where fresh eggs were gathered daily and needed safe air circulation before use.Each rack features:* Twelve egg openings

* Honest wear consistent with age and useOver the past several days I researched these extensively and located nearly identical examples offered by respected antique dealers in England, Sweden, and the Netherlands. Similar examples are consistently identified as Late Victorian or Edwardian kitchen egg racks dating from approximately 1890–1920.While no maker’s mark is present, pieces like these were commonly produced by local cabinetmakers and woodworking shops throughout Britain and Northern Europe, making attribution difficult but adding to their authentic handcrafted character.These make wonderful display pieces in:* farmhouse kitchens
