Historically significant lot of four (4) original Victorian advertising trade cards dating precisely from the late 1880s to the early 1890s (approx. 135+ years old). This collection features beautiful, vibrant chromolithograph artwork on the fronts and highly desirable local merchant advertising overprints on the reverse from historic High Street businesses in Pottstown, Pennsylvania.Local Historical Provenance:
• Card 1 (Top Left): The Standard Sewing Machine Co. (\"It Makes Happy Homes\"). Reverse features a crisp, purple ink overprint for T. J. Graham, Dealer in Sewing Machines, 319 High St., Pottstown, Pa. Advertising the No. 8 \"Domestic\" machine.
• Card 2 (Bottom Left): The Standard Sewing Machine Co. (Victorian children playing drum with family dog). Reverse features a clean overprint for E. B. Trout, Organs & Pianos, Pottstown, Pa. (historically located at 210–212 High Street).
• Card 3 (Top Right): The Standard Sewing Machine Co. (Standard Rotary Shuttle \"Two In One\" graphic). Reverse features factory text detailing the machine\'s lock and chain stitch features (un-stamped dealer space).
• Card 4 (Bottom Right): Enterprise Meat and Food Chopper (Vivid color illustration of hand-crank grinder and vegetables). Reverse features a prominent, clean overprint for the historic J.
