Beautiful antique oak pedestal dining table with an exceptionally ornate carved base. The dramatic pedestal features four carved lion/figural heads, scrolling details and large claw/paw feet. The oak top has prominent grain and a rich dark finish.
The table includes 2 removable extension leaves, allowing it to convert from a round table to a larger dining table when additional seating is needed. The leaves retain their alignment pins.
The combination of the lion-head pedestal, massive claw feet and highly decorative carved base makes this much more distinctive than a typical antique oak pedestal table. Great statement piece for a Victorian, traditional, English country, Gothic Revival or collected eclectic interior.
48” wide without leaf. Each leaf adds about 10”. Can seat 6-8 people with both leaf installed.

Condition: Antique condition with signs of wear consistent with age and use. The tabletop has surface scratches, finish wear and a more noticeable gouge/chip where lighter wood is exposed.
