Beautiful antique Victorian gold-filled oval photo locket featuring an exceptionally elaborate, deeply engraved script monogram.
The front is dominated by a large flowing intertwined monogram with dramatic scrolling flourishes extending nearly the full length of the locket. The engraving is unusually substantial and creates wonderful natural contrast as the recessed lines have darkened with age.
The elongated oval form is classic and very wearable, while the oversized period monogram gives this particular locket a great deal of character.
The locket opens to reveal two photo compartments. One side currently retains a family photograph beneath the interior frame/cover.
