An antique/ vintage wooden sewing clamp thread winder/spindle. I am not certain, but it might be made from fruitwood. To use, clampto a work table to wind threads. The spindle has 6 struts. It measures 25cm x 6.8cm. It is in good conditionwith any wear in keeping with age and use; the finial at the top has a chip (last photo); one strut of the spindle has had a small metal pin inserted.
